Your New Go-To Purse

I am very excited to introduce a new vendor, Couture Planet. This is a women-owned business in Massachusetts that creates fashion-forward handbags and accessories from 100 percent post-consumer newspaper, and they are proudly made in the U.S.A. Their statement-making bags, bearing headlines from the world of fashion, art, food, travel, sports, and much more, are available in a variety of styles and shapes.

Each piece we’ve brought in is one of a kind. So, if you fall in love with one, call me ASAP at 703.362.5860 or order online.

Stella Tote, $113

This is the largest of their bags and is great for a day out touring or shopping. It has a snap closure and inside pocket to carry your essentials.

Coco, $100

The Coco makes quite a fashion statement! Perfect for daytime wear or a night out on the town. It also has a snap closure and inside pocket to carry your essentials and is available with your choice of clear or tortoise colored handles.

Marilyn, $60

This is a clutch and is often mistaken for an actual newspaper! Elegant yet practical, it has a flap with a snap closure.

Mia, $60

This is Couture Planet’s newest shape, and it’s great to carry alone or inside a larger bag. It also makes a great document case. It has a zipper closure, and the strap is made from repurposed leather fabricated in New England.

Lauren, $48

The perfect wristlet! This is a terrific eco-friendly accessory to take for a night out or to carry inside a larger bag. It also has a zipper closure and is available with a nickel-plated fashion chain or repurposed leather strap fabricated in New England.

These fabulous tie-dye tanks with built-in masks just arrived ($46 each). They are the most innovative piece of clothing I’ve seen. I wore one this past weekend and was stopped by lots of ladies asking where I got it. Scout & Molly’s – of course! Get one now while I have all colors and sizes in stock.

Co-Owner
I am new to the fashion world and loving it. My daughter, Betsy, and I own two Scout & Molly’s Boutiques – one in Reston Town Center and one in Ballston Quarter. Our stores are part of a franchise that allows its owners to curate their own collections. So, we are able to match the vendors and designs we bring into our stores to our customers. Thus, you will find unique items in both of our stores. In our Ballston store you will find trendy, reasonably priced clothes for a casual outing, your workday, and special occasions along with lots of fun accessories and gift ideas! Before Betsy and I started this adventure, I enjoyed a career in the private sector offering consulting services to small and medium sized companies. I also devoted a lot of my time to health, educational, cultural, and social service boards. Most recently, I served as Chairman of the Congressional Commission to Study the Potential for an American Women’s History Museum as part of the Smithsonian.

We truly believe that no one style fits all and that we have to have choices for our customers so that she can find something that makes her feel beautiful and comfortable. Our stylists can help our clients step outside their comfort zone, find new trends and approaches to their style in a comfortable environment.

Our team believes that we should always treat each person that walks through our doors like we want to be treated and we strive to do that each and every day. We take our clients seriously. They become like family, stopping to see what’s new and to catch up with their favorite stylist. We hope that our clients feel like they are shopping in their best friend’s closet.
