White Glove Service

If you have been reading my market updates lately, you are probably aware that it is a great time to sell your home in Arlington (even in the middle of a pandemic!). This is largely driven by the fact that mortgage rates are at all-time lows as is the inventory of homes for sale. And, Arlington is just an amazing place to live. These factors combine to make the perfect recipe for local home sellers to achieve top dollar. But, the process of getting your home ready to sell can be overwhelming.

The thought of getting a house ready for sale – especially in the middle of a pandemic – leads many would-be sellers to press the pause button on their home sale. Figuring out what needs to be done – and figuring out how to pay for it – can be paralyzing. There is no need to put your plans on hold. TTR Sotheby’s International Realty (my brokerage) has a brilliant solution to this dilemma. Last year we rolled out White Glove, a full suite of services that allow you to get your home ready to look its absolute best before it hits the market and navigate through the process after you are under contract with no upfront costs!

Whether you need to renovate, consign furniture, store furniture, stage your home, or make repairs following a home inspection, White Glove provides help at every stage of the process, all the way through closing. And, you do not have to pay for these services until closing. White Glove is available to all of our clients, regardless of price point. We have been able to create this exclusive benefit by developing strategic relationships with the best in the industry, our White Glove Partners.

Here is a sampling of the different services provided through White Glove from preparation for sale, to when the home is under contract, to closing day:

Service: Strategic Home Renovations (pre-sale)

White Glove Partner: Curbio

Curbio offers a full suite of home renovation services designed to maximize the sales price. We work together to identify what renovations make sense and Curbio arranges for the work to take place. The renovation costs are paid at closing. Sellers using Curbio see an average return on investment of 201 percent.

Service: Décor and Furniture Consignment (pre-sale, any time)

Partner: Sotheby’s Home

Sotheby’s Home is an exclusive online platform for buying and selling pre-owned home décor and antique furniture. There is no cost to list your items and Sotheby’s Home can arrange for shipping.

Service: Personal Property Valuation (pre-sale, any time)

Partner: Sotheby’s Auction House

Do you have a special item at home and always wondered what it is worth? Through our partnership with the Sotheby’s Auction House, you can receive appraisals and valuations for items such as jewelry, fine art, wine, and other items.

Service: Home Staging, Storage, and Moving (pre-sale, contract to close)

White Glove Partner: Town & Country Movers

Town & Country started out as a top-notch moving service and has expanded into staging homes – a natural evolution and elevation of its excellent service. Town & Country will provide staging services and, if necessary, pack and store your personal items (including furniture) while your home is on the market. Once your home is sold, they can pack (as needed) and move your items to your next home. They do local, national, and international moves. You do not have to pay Town & Country until closing day.

Service: Inspection Repairs (after home inspection, prior to close)

Partner: PunchList

Following a home inspection (once you are under contract), you may find that some repairs are needed to get you to the finish line, i.e., closing. PunchList will provide a quick online estimate and connect you with professional contractors to complete those repairs. PunchList’s support team manages everything from start to finish, efficiently and effectively.

Not only does White Glove provide an unmatched advantage to clients wishing to sell their homes, but we also offer a suite of services through White Glove to assist our buyers through the home sale process. I am happy to discuss everything we have to offer over (virtual) coffee!
