I’m Suzanne Manlove of Arlington Home Interiors, a boutique interior design studio that I run with my husband Mark. We’re really excited to be included in the very first issue of Arlington Stylebook.
A little bit about us–Mark and I have lived in Arlington for over twenty years and we hold it near and dear to our hearts. Arlington is where we started dating (any Galaxy Hut fans out there?), bought our first/forever home, met life-long friends and where we’re raising our two amazing kids (plus a reclusive cat and a sweet rescue dog). We’ve planted deep roots in this lovely, supportive community.
I started Arlington Home Interiors in 2007 after the birth of our second child. With sixteen-plus years in the corporate world leading graphic design teams, I decided it was time for more work-life balance. I didn’t want the office to keep me away from our young children but I also knew I needed a creative, professional outlet. Interior design proved to be the perfect solution. It’s been amazing to see how our business has grown. Meeting new families and helping them fall in love with their living spaces through design is my true joy. And it’s been a thrill and an extra bonus to see our projects published in Home+Design, DC Modern Luxury, Washingtonian, Arlington Magazine and The Washington Post. Two years ago, Mark joined the Arlington Home Interiors team to lead Marketing & Operations, so now it’s a true family business. We’re all-in and it’s full steam ahead!
We can’t wait to start sharing home decor solutions, beautiful images, art-related adventures, design inspirations and all sorts of pretty things with you. We’ve got a long list of ideas. This is going to be fun!
XOXO – Suzanne
