Giving Thanks and Giving Back

Before turning to this week’s post, I want to point out that the temperatures are dropping, and it is time to make sure you protect your home from freezing temperatures. Please read my post on winterizing your home for the best things you can do to make sure your home is winter ready.

As we approach Thanksgiving, I wanted to take some time to reflect on what I am grateful for this year. For me – and I am sure for many of us – this year has made abundantly clear the many things I have taken for granted. Here are the ten things I am most grateful for this year:

Giving Back

I am also aware that there are others in our community that have been hit much harder by the pandemic and/or generally need help. I don’t know about you, but I have often felt the urge to volunteer but have no idea where to start. Volunteer Arlington has a robust website with multiple and specific opportunities to get involved and a very long list of volunteer organizations. There is even a section entitled COVID-19 Care for Community. Check out the website and try to make volunteering a regular practice!
